Mental Health Services in Leicester are set to get a makeover with the launch of a new service, Leicester Centre for Psychodynamic Counselling (LCPC), persuading people to talk more about mental wellbeing through book clubs and film nights. To celebrate, LCPC will be holding a launch party on Friday 21st July.
The importance of mental health been brought to the forefront of people’s minds recently, with help from the launch of Heads Together campaign by Prince Harry. LCPC has an ethos of inclusivity and seeks to give everyone the opportunity to access counselling services by offering sessions for as little as £5!
Set on New Walk in Leicester, the LCPC offers a more informal way of engaging the community in understanding mental health. Run by award winning professionals, the centre provides affordable treatment to those in need, as well as accredited training courses for aspiring counsellors.
The launch of the LCPC centre takes place on 21st July from 6.00pm at LCPC, 12 Princess Road West, Leicester, LE1 6TP. The night will include a tour of the facilities followed by a reception at Leicester Museum, including live music and complimentary drinks.
