Healthwatch Leicester is recruiting Board members

Do you have a desire to make a positive difference to Health and Social Care services?

Are you interested in being part of an organisation which champions improvement in the quality of health and care services?

The Board of Healthwatch Leicester would like to appoint additional Board members who want to support the active engagement of local people and communities in influencing the future of health and social care services.

We would welcome any of the following skills and/or interests:

  • Experience of being a board member, a trustee or committee member or a good understanding and/or interest of how boards operate.
  • High level of communication skills with the ability to engage with people in different capacities and with different communities.
  • Analytical skills and awareness with the ability to understand and deal with complex problems and influence policy to bring about change.
  • Good relationship skills and the ability to act on behalf of others and to motivate people to achieve.
  • Awareness of current health and social care issues facing residents in the local population with an understanding of the role of relevant statutory agencies and how public engagement can influence them.
  • Ability to use information technology and an appreciation of the opportunities it offers.
